Division for Language Learning and Teaching Research
The Division for Language Learning and Teaching Research focuses on multilingualism and language learning/teaching research in many facets and in a highly interdisciplinary way. We understand language teaching and learning research as a scientific study of the complex processes underlying the learning and teaching of a language, as well as the many factors that have influence on it, for example, social, socio-cultural, psychological, linguistic, or, neurobiological. Thus, our research unit fosters co-operations and brings different sciences together (e.g. Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Psychology, Didactics, Language Policy, Education Science etc.) and deals with a variety of different topics, all centering around the learning and teaching of languages and multilingualism.
